Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were quite small but had an amazing Galata tower view and a big balcony. The servicing staff was very friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The hotel offers a convenient location near the metro and tram stations, which is great for exploring the city. The rooms were very clean but could use more space, and there was occasional noise from nearby restaurants. The service varied from helpful to lacking in politeness. The dining options were tasty with a good variety of dishes. Overall, it's a good choice for those wanting a central location with comfortable rooms.
Staying at Galata Hotel McGallery was an absolute delight. The rooms were modern, offering stunning views of either the Galata Bridge or the Tower, especially on the 5th floor. The local style influence, particularly in the bathrooms, added a nice touch, making the stay worthwhile. The service was impeccable, thanks to the multilingual and attentive staff who even went above and beyond to secure reservations for us. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from the iconic Galata Tower and a short walk to Taksim Square, surrounded by a plethora of dining and shopping options. Dining was a highlight with quality dishes and exceptional views.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were large, nicely designed, and seemed new, but being situated above the restaurant-turned-nightclub could be noisy until late. The upgrade to a Deluxe sea view room during peak tourism season was a nice touch, yet my historic wall-view room in a lower floor had its charm.
The hotel is perfectly situated close to Galata Bridge and Misir Bazaar, making it a great spot for a touristy trip. The rooms, despite being under the restaurant with live music, are comfortable. However, the constant need to keep the curtains closed was a downside.
The hotel had very clean rooms with convenient toiletries provided daily. The staff, especially Senem at the reception counter, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The location, while not perfect, was okay for tourists looking to explore the major attractions. The exceptional dining experience, including the best breakfast, was beyond expectations. Overall, a decent value for money stay with some minor issues.
The hotel had a stunning suite with a Bosphorus view, but the room was smaller than expected. The service was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The location was fantastic for exploring nearby attractions, but there were some noise issues. The dining offered a variety of options with a beautiful view. Overall, it was a stay with ups and downs.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, although comfortable, was small compared to others I've experienced. The music from the live performances under the restaurant was a bit disruptive. On the bright side, having a door opening to the hammam allowed for some fresh air and was a lovely touch. However, dealing with a constant smoking neighbor sharing a common door made the experience less enjoyable.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms, with their stunning 180-degree view of the Golden Horne and the unique hammam door, were a cozy retreat. The service, particularly from Ufuk and Asiye, was exceptional. The location was perfect for exploring both Galata and Iskitil, although the hilly area might be challenging for some. The dining experience was nice, although a bit limited, and the facilities were top-notch.
